Rooted in observation, my practice explores the expressive possibilities of drawing, painting, and sculpture within a representational framework. I am committed to traditional techniques as a means of investigating materiality, form, and the interplay of light and space. Drawing provides the foundation of my work, allowing me to explore composition and structure while remaining responsive to the nuances of my subject.

In examining our evolving relationship with the land, my practice considers habitat as both a cultivated necessity and a repository of personal and collective memory. I am captivated by the spaces which emerge between humans and their environments, where fleeting moments of presence leave an imprint. Drawing on historical contexts, my work reflects the tension between human form and natural rhythms, weaving observation, recollection, and imagination to craft both intentional and unintentional narratives which shift between clarity and ambiguity.

Through careful observation, tonal sensitivity, and layered mark-making, I explore the structure and fluidity of form. My practice is an ongoing enquiry into the balance between precision and expression, where drawing, painting, and sculpture serve as vehicles for understanding and reinterpreting the world around me.
